Claire O'Malley

My name is Claire O'Malley and I am a junior studying UX Design at Purdue University. I was born and raised in a small suburb just outside of Chicago, Illinois. I had completed two years of community college prior to attending Purdue, which had consisted of me exploring which career field to go into. In highschool I was leaning towards physical therapy, then at community college I was aiming towards criminal justice, and then around the end of my time at community college I had decided to shadow my brother and his girlfriend who are both UX Designers. After I had shadowed them, I had immediately realized that I did not have to stress anymore about choosing a career path, because this was the one. I had always been interested in design since I was young, even selling my handmade clay figurines on the school bus in 6th grade. I love to learn and better myself, and am very excited to gain experience as a designer. While studying UX Design,  I am also a design and sales manager at Campus Ink, a custom apparel company, and am currently the apparel chair for my sorority , Sigma Kappa here at Purdue.
